The duration of a transfer depends on the type of transfer. Between two Nickel accounts opened in Belgium, the transfer is instant. A standard transfer usually takes between 24 and 48 hours, but instant transfers are also available and free.
You can do this in several ways: deposit up to €950 per month at a Nickel Point. The cost for this is 3% of the deposited amount. You can also add money to your card via the Nickel app using another payment card (2% of the amount will be charged). Or, make a transfer, completely free, from another account to your Nickel account.
You must sign a direct debit mandate or "SEPA Direct Debit Mandate" for the creditor. Then, send this mandate and your Nickel details (IBAN) to the relevant creditor, who forwards the mandate to us electronically. Our teams then take care of the execution of the direct debit.
You can easily lower or raise your card limits from the customer area or your Nickel app under the "CARD" tab, "manage my limits". You can also contact Customer Service on 02 891 29 80.
Your card is usable as soon as you receive it. You will receive the corresponding PIN code via the Nickel app. If you already have a Nickel card, you can continue to use it until your new card is activated.
You can withdraw money for free 3 times a month at a Nickel Point. After that, each withdrawal costs €0.50. For the Metal card, it is completely free. The Nickel Point always gives you a receipt. At an ATM, each withdrawal costs €1.50 and is free for Metal cardholders.
